The purpose of Learning to be content… is to share our stories of faith, regardless of our age, our careers, our church denomination or our political views. We are all Christians, however. We hope our posts have encouraged you in your own spiritual growth or to challenge you to study the Word further. It our hope that some might even make you smile.
Most of the posts to date have been from a handful of regular writers. There are times when the “regulars” run short of time; so, we would welcome submissions from “guest” authors from time to time. Posts should be of general interest to Christians and should, hopefully, encourage the readers to fill their hearts with as much of the Lord and His Word as possible. We do need to give you some guidelines for any post you submit for consideration:
- We will consider submissions from any Christian who believes as we do.
- We believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and that the Bible is the inspired, divine Word of God.
- Include specific Bible verses or passages and the translation used.
- Provide a relationship between the Bible passage and our daily lives or your personal story.
- Always be sincere, positive and encouraging.
- Authors must write their own articles. If a source used for research is cited, attribution must be given.
- It is understood that submissions are completely voluntary.
- Links to controversial sites will not be permitted.
- The administrators of LTBC will use their sole discretion in whether or not to accept any article.
- Photos you own may be included if you wish. Or, please suggest an appropriate photo if you want us to search for one.
- Your article should be sent to us as an attachment as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Works or a PDF file.
- Your full name, email address and, if applicable, your URL must be included, preferably at the top of your document.
- Try to keep the length to less than 1000 words; and, please proof read to the best of your ability.

With heartfelt gratitude we introduce Phil Thomson, a Christian photographer residing in Australia. He captured the magnificent photo, "Last Light" used in our header; and we feel it depicts "contentment." You can learn more about him at
